Blog Entry #5
Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry regarding an alternative economic approach. I am pleased to provide you with an explanation of Ecological Economics, its applications, and my opinion on its relevance and utility. Ecological Economics is an area of Economics that examines the economic impact of environmental policies. Also, it seeks to understand the cost benefit relationship associated with environmental conservation and resource use.
In my opinion, this approach of economics is crucial in today’s world where environmental concerns are increasingly prominent, as it offers a framework for evaluating the economic implications of environmental degradation and the benefits of sustainable practices.
This approach can be useful when the governments use it to design and implement policies that promote sustainable development, like it can help in setting pollution taxes; Similarly, businesses can use this approach to adopt more eco-friendly practices, helping them identify sustainable investments that not only reduce their environmental footprint but also increase their profitability in the long term; Additionally, understanding the economic value of ecosystems can foster greater public support for environmental protection initiatives, thus playing a role in educating the public about the economic and moral benefits of environmental protection.
Overall, Environmental Economics provides valuable insights that are essential for addressing the complex challenges of sustainable development. It bridges the gap between economic objectives and environmental goals, ensuring that economic progress does not come at the expense of our natural resources. I hope this explanation helps you gain a better understanding of Environmental Economics. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach
Best Regards,
Leandro Rodríguez.

This is a cryptid I learned about recently. Not-a-deer. It has deer-shape, but it doesn't move like one and, if you look more closely, it doesn't actually look like one. I like this one a little better since it conveys the feeling I'm looking for (not fully, but a bit better).

Not really sure what to do for my next video but I might just do a bw2 nuzlocke. Too bad I only got 2 followers, although one is pretty popular so if I make some engaging current content then neve it could get picked up by the algorithm or even fet shouted out by a more popular poketuber. It's hard because my left hand is still healing from September's accident, I'm not really working, and my camera set up is fucking trash. It's whatever. I might just make a proper introductory video first. Making youtube videos takes a good amount of effort, especially for my 2 followers.

Night Of: 6/20/24
Dream Type: Nightmare
Subject: Him, The Urges, Murder
⊹₊ ㆍ✿ㆍ
⊹₊ ㆍ✿ㆍ

⊹₊ ㆍ✿ㆍ
⊹₊ ㆍ✿ㆍ
I am at work. My shift has just ended, one of the few late shifts I have, and it is dark out. There are no cars in the Denny’s lot as I step out of the building-
Except for one.
In the darkest lot of the car park sits my boss’ car.
I know I have a little time before he comes out- he’s still counting the till. So, I make my way towards the vehicle, concealing myself in the shadows on the passenger side.
I know his routine. It takes him fifteen minutes to count the till. I usually leave when he’s about ten minutes in.
I only have to wait five.
I see the lights in the dining room turn off. I hear the jingle of his keys locking the door, and I grip my crutches tightly in my hands.
I see him in the darkness, unaware of my presence as he approaches his car.
I will make him regret treating me badly.
I feel eyes on me from somewhere, I know someone is watching me, but it is not my prey. It is someone else. I don’t care if there is a witness, though. I know I will not get caught.
My boss starts to get into his car, and I strike. I bring one of my crutches down hard into his chest, and he yowls, crumbling to the ground as I hit him again, this time aiming for his knees.
He looks terrified.
I feel fulfilled.
I keep hitting him, each swing harder and harder. I hear his bones snap and break, I see his skull cave in.
When I finally stop, I see a pair of green eyes watching me.
I smile fondly. They are familiar. I don’t know why they are familiar.
I can’t picture the rest of the face they are a part of, but I know I love the owner of those striking green eyes.
I am shaking when I finally leave the parking lot, the body by the car an unrecognizable heap of blood and viscera.
I wake up.

The Resurgence of CDs: the "forgotten format" remembered by me
I know what you're thinking. There is no rebirth of CDs, Isha.
The facts tell us that they have been dying a slow death since their peak in the 2000s, suffering a 97% drop in sales revenue back in 2020. It fails to be a viable commercial format due to performing terribly in sales' data, with only a 1.1% increase in the US during 2021. No one is buying CDs, and those who are, well they just don't matter in the grand scheme of things for a few reasons. There are various sources of media that say otherwise, yet Damon Krukowski boldly states that one of the reasons why journalists have been penning articles regarding "the resurgence of CDs" is because there is a sense of false consciousness attached: it is an attempt by the industry to substitute the interests of the rich for one's own; to distract music consumers from facing the deeper problems within music distribution, such as a supposed booming economy in the music industry despite there being a great income inequality. To which I say, true, but un(?)fortunately, our minds do not resort to that aspect of the resurgence of CDs immediately. I mean, really, when I came across a sticker-peeled, used copy of Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill in the snug CD section of my temporary hometown's Oxfam (I was in Bath during my second year of university), I was hardly thinking of the effects of CD sales in the music industry. What I was thinking about was the excitement I felt in the pit of my stomach to be eight years old again, sat on my bedroom floor, wanting to scream the lyrics to Ironic whilst dancing around my stereo. If there is a resurgence of CDs, it is thanks to my generation: Gen-Z.

Perhaps one of Krukowski's faults is that he is building his conclusions based on CD sales from corporate stores, not independent stores that sell pre-owned copies. An hour ago, I was stood in a place named Record Collector in Sheffield, a whole store dedicated to collecting CDs along with artist memorabilia, such as tour posters and band autobiographies. There are also places such as Oxfam and Truck Store in Oxford where pre-owned copies of various CDs are sold at cheap prices ranging from 99p to £5. These stores are where the heart of CD-love lies. It's the accessibility with personal ownership that is comforting, along with the affordable pricing in contrast with vinyl prices. This reason for CD appreciation has always been evident, yet the introduction of MP3 files and the quick accessibility to downloads back in the 2000s is one of the murderers of the CD craze. Once there was a rise in MP3 players being sold, CD sales nearly halved between 2000 and 2007. Despite this, various artists and music fans remain defending CDs against MP3 players due to MP3 files becoming compressed when downloaded, affecting the audio quality of the song. With CDs, the audio is never compressed nor tweaked in any way. Yes, you could also just encode your MP3 files at a higher bit rate, but that leads me to my next favourite thing about CDs.
THE CREATIVITY IS UNMATCHED. I have always been a visual learner of some sort, falling in love with aesthetics that are carefully crafted in front of me for my own enjoyment. It's why I adore films over books, possess a keen eye and attention to detail when it comes to their direction and fashion, and it is also why I love CDs in the way that I do. I mean, I have a whole Instagram page dedicated to the craftsmanship that artists have demonstrated through their CDs. I own a growing collection, ranging from artists like Hole and Radiohead, along with Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morissette. All CDs I own are bought based on two things: how much I love the music and how much I adore the artwork. This creativity that artists can build on introduces a realm of sentimentality for when a music consumer witnesses time taken to produce a delicate work of art, where thorough thought has been given to which photos will be used for the cover - what colour scheme we are aiming for in terms of the album's aesthetic - which font should be used for the title and should it be the same for the lyrical pages in the booklet? - these are intricate details that an artist recognises and appreciates, no matter what. With so much love and care given to a piece of work that you have crafted, not always alone but with a team, you can't help but feel a sense of inspiration along with appreciation for the beauty of it all - allowing you to feel a strong connection with the artist. With that, no other music format could even compare to the liberation of creativity that CDs possess.
If there's anything you're going to take from me and my ranting, please let it be this: close your eyes, think of an album, or a song, or an artist that you can't help but feel a strong connection to, and buy one of their CDs. Go through the cover booklet, consume and appreciate each framing of text on each page - ask yourself why they chose to use that font or that colour - have the music playing at the same time and read through each page that consists of their lyrics... Let yourself be completely enamoured by the artist's choices of creativity and build your critical thinking in terms of what could be going on inside their minds.
You'll find yourself tapping into a whole new aspect of consuming music, especially in terms of appreciating visual individuality and the liberation that comes with it. All these feelings... thank you, CDs.

Tim if you were able to go back and do it all again with the knowledge of what you know now, would you do? Would you still try to go to collage or make friends?
Entry #5
No. It's no use changing the past. It wouldn't change the fact I was still stalked by that thing throughout my childhood, at least now it's gone.
At least I wasn't alone throughout everything that happened. I'd rather have the knowledge that i'm now isolated and haunted rather than having to go through everything again on my own.

I don't know what I was expecting from Survive (not much because of digicon 2022 and being hooked on ReArise), but it wasn't a "we live in a society" game. It was all the better for it.
Anyway, happy new year eve or happy first day of 2024. Let's look forward to survive week in a month and to me tagging my drafts.
#I'll keep a log of my progress for Survive week in this blog starting tomorrow#I'm aiming to get 5 entries t#*done but we will see what actually happens

Cards and Plastic Sleeves
Yesterday, the plastic sleeves I ordered finally arrived~
I didn't sleeve every cards that I have, mostly the guys I still use for battles, in training, or the first card of that character I've ever printed (ex: Lv. 1 or Lv. 2 cards)
Even if it's not every cards that I own, it almost took me 2 hours to sleeve everyone Given tho, I kind of get distracted at the middle-
I also want to write out a bit about why I suddenly feel the need to sleeves every cards that I currently and will have for the future
TLDR; Don't use photo album that use PVC for card collecting if you don't have innersleeve for your cards
Around August 2023, I ordered an photocard album that are usually popular among KPOP fans, because the size is perfect for photocard
And well, what do you know? The size is also perfect for Oreca Battle cards-
The inside of the album is very nice! If I wasn't wrong, the sleeves size is around 7 cm x 10 cm, so plenty of room for the cards
And not only that, they are also come with 2 sided sleeves! So I can arrange some of the cards to be placed next to each other, like this arrangement for Powan and Dante~
And furthermore, this album got that big window on its cover, and you can put your fav picture as the cover!
I did use one of my spare Culann card as the cover at first, but overtime, it changes into one of my ridiculous doodles that I printed sometime ago along with my wanderer cards-
Currently, I'm using the one where Culann is chasing Tanta, but that's not what I'm going to ramble about
I'm going to ramble about what happened to my cards after months of being inside this album
As the TLDR at the beginning implied, the sleeves materials are made of PVC plastic (as described by the vendor on the online listing)
And these PVC plastic, yea? They stick to your cards/photos like, dangerously sticking
So it was probably around September, when I was planning on testing wanderer cards on the arcade I was deciding on what kind of team I need to use, so I pull my cards outside of their sleeves
And lo and behold, crime of modern age(?)
At first, I was a bit surprised at how rough the surface of the cards have become, but I thought since none of the ink are sticking to the sleeves, we are still at safe area Oh how wrong I was...
Out of all of the cards that took some damage from this ordeal, the ones that got the most critical hit are Hayate and Bub
The damage is not very noticeable on Hayate, since it's just a small amount on his hair
But Bub on the other hand, got a very big chunk of his ink taken away by the PVC and got a pretty big white blob on the left side of his card Thankfully, Bub's OG background do have some white elements, so you can dismiss the missing ink as part of the BG
But sadly, the fact that most of my cards' surface becoming rough is not something that I can do anything about
That's why I decided to immediately buy some innersleeves to protect my current and future cards from any further damage that the PVC album might do to them
You might wonder, "If this PVC album is so bad, why not buy a new album that's not made from PVC?"
Buddy, this photo album is pretty expensive- Not only that, it's also very pretty- Also, the sleeves that got ink stuck on them cannot be cleaned/removed, so I don't think I can sell it as a second-hand item either
Anyway, that's my journey about PVC plastic and the importance of putting sleeves on your cards Don't forget to protect your cards, buy sleeves /slapped
#N41R Blog Entry#Oreca related#Long post#cards#MY CARDS ARE NOT SMOOTH ANYMORE;;;#Some that are not stored in the album are starting to get rough too-#so I was desperate to get dem innersleeves-#it was pretty cheap at first#but the delivery fee-#damn man-#it multiplied 5 times the original price cuz delivery fee-#it was insane-#but anything to protect my cards-
